Introduction

Your privacy is important to us. Habimon is built with your privacy as a core principle. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Habimon mobile application.

Age Requirements: Habimon is rated 9+ and requires parental permission for users under 18. While the app is designed for ages 9 and up, we comply with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) for users under 13.

Data We Collect

Subscription Information (via RevenueCat)

When you subscribe to Habimon Pro, we collect the following information through our payment processor, RevenueCat:

  • Subscription status and type
  • Purchase date and renewal information
  • Anonymous device identifier (UUID - a unique identifier that cannot be used to personally identify you)
  • App Store transaction metadata

This information is necessary to verify your subscription status and provide Pro features.

App Store Connect Analytics

Apple's App Store Connect automatically collects anonymous usage analytics, including:

  • App sessions (how often the app is opened)
  • App units (downloads and updates)
  • Device type and iOS version
  • Crash reports (if the app crashes)

This data is collected by Apple, not by us, and is used to monitor app performance and stability. It cannot be used to identify individual users. You can opt out of sharing diagnostics and usage data in your device settings (Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements).

Support Communications

If you contact us at support@habimon.app for help or feedback:

  • We collect your email address and any information you provide in your message
  • This information is used solely to respond to your inquiry
  • We do not share your email with third parties
  • Support emails are retained for up to 2 years for record-keeping purposes

What We DON'T Collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal habit tracking data, including:

  • Your habits, tasks, or routines
  • Dice earned or battle statistics
  • Monsters defeated or collection progress
  • Weapons, spells, or items collected
  • Timer data or focus sessions
  • Any other gameplay or productivity data

How your data is stored: All habit tracking and game progress is stored locally on your device using JSON format. Your data never leaves your device unless you enable optional iCloud sync, which uses Apple's end-to-end encryption. We cannot access your habits, monsters, or game progress.

Data Retention and Third-Party Services

Local Data

Your habit tracking data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app. If you use iCloud sync, Apple retains your data according to their iCloud storage policies.

Subscription Data (RevenueCat)

We use RevenueCat to manage Pro subscriptions. Subscription information is retained for the duration of your subscription plus a period required for legal compliance, tax requirements, fraud prevention, and dispute resolution. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy for details.

Payment Processing (Apple App Store)

Payment processing is handled by Apple's App Store and governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Support Emails

Support emails are retained for up to 2 years for record-keeping and service improvement.

Security

We take the security of your data seriously:

  • Device Security: Your habit tracking data is protected by your device's built-in security features (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID)
  • iCloud Encryption: If you enable iCloud sync, your data is protected by Apple's end-to-end encryption both in transit and at rest
  • HTTPS: All communication with RevenueCat and Apple's servers uses industry-standard HTTPS encryption
  • No Cloud Storage: We do not store your personal data on our servers, eliminating the risk of server breaches

While we implement strong security measures, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and iCloud account.

Your Data Rights

Access and Deletion

Since your data is stored locally on your device:

  • You can delete individual habits, monsters, or items at any time within the app
  • You can perform a complete data reset in Settings
  • Deleting the app removes all local data from your device
  • Subscription data is managed by RevenueCat and subject to their data retention policies
  • To request deletion of support emails or other data we hold, contact us at support@habimon.app

Data Portability

Your data is stored in JSON format on your device, which is a human-readable and portable format. You can export your data from your device at any time.

  • Request deletion of your personal information (contact support@habimon.app)
  • Opt-out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell your data)
